Since 2004, Rotherham Cancer Care Centre has been supporting local people who have cancer or have been affected by cancer. Through one to one assessment we give people time to talk about their fears and concerns and provide complementary therapies and/or counselling to improve quality of life.
We provide a place where people can share feelings and thoughts without guilt or the fear of upsetting anyone. We help people feel more in control and so more confident with what is to come.
Our services are free, and we work with the NHS to proivde professional counselling services and complementary therapies.
Any that needs to access our packages is welcome to call 01709 375729, there is no need for an NHS referral.

Light but firm pressuare applied to certain areas of your hand or feet can help to relieve imbalances in different areas of your body helping reduce tension and promote better digestion and sleep. The reflexologist can help to you feel relaxed and uplifted, with less stress and anxiety.
Reiki means Universal Life Energy, it's a simple and natural form of ‘hands on’ healing from Japan. You will simply lie or sit (fully clothed) and the practitioner will gently place their hands over or on your body. Reiki helps the body heal itself, promoting a sense of peace and relaxation.
This is ear acupuncture is for people having hormone treatment, for breast or prostate cancers. It can reduce the severity of hot flushes in many. Very fine needles are placed in the outer ear to trigger electrical impulses to specific part of the body. The treatment is four sessions and we treat two persons. Funded by us on Thursday mornings.
A touch based therapy, by kneading or gently pressing muscles and soft tissues massage helps you relax. Whether gentle or more vigorous, it's possible to concentrate on small areas such as neck or larger areas of your back. As well as being mentally and physically relaxing, it often helps a person feel good.
